相変わらず丸とのんびり過ごしている日々が続いております。
そんななか丸の背中にあるものを発見しました。
それは″毛玉″
毛が絡まって出来たものです。
チンチラの毛はふわふわで細いのですが、不思議なことに毛玉が出来ることがあります。
この毛の分かれ目にいつも毛玉が出来ます。
毛玉ができる理由として言われているのは、湿気や個体ごとの癖。
チンチラの皮膚から分泌される油分（ラノリン）と毛が絡まったものだと考えられています。
本来は砂浴びでこの油分を落とすのですが、砂浴びが下手だったり不十分だと出来やすいみたいですね。
丸の場合は砂場はケージ内に入れっぱなしですし、砂交換も朝、夜とやるので不十分と言うことはないでしょう。
湿気も管理されているので、残るは個体の癖か砂浴びが下手か。
飼主が丸を見てきた感じは後者ですね。
圧倒的に砂浴びが下手です。
よくTwitterとかで見るのが、砂場の中で一回転するやつですね。
丸は一回転できないんです。
出来て半回転です。
たまに一回転出来てもドタバタします。
まぁそんな感じなのでたまに毛玉が出来るのでしょう。
うーん。なんとかして、毛玉が出来ない方法はないのでしょうか。
ブラッシングは嫌いですし…。
また作戦を考えないといけませんね。
